John dropped by to hang with his people, his Star Wars family (including Luke Skywalker & Princess Leia) that is, today and talked a little bit about Episode VII & VIII. Enjoy!

There isn’t a video of the whole panel but here is one with the highlights.

MTV – Saturday Night Live struck comedy gold with its “Star Wars Auditions” sketch last November, which featured cast members impersonating celebs auditioning for the blockbuster sequel. But apparently there was a ton of bonus, star-studded footage left on the cutting room floor… until now.

In a new video from the sketch, we see even more fake auditions, including Vanessa Bayer as Jennifer Lawrence and Kyle Mooney as Shia LaBeouf. The real Emma Stone and Jon Hamm make hilarious return appearances, alongside Matthew McConaughey, who delivers a poor pitch to play Lando Calrissian.

The real MVPs here, though, are Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, whose charm and charisma reminds us why we fell in love with them in the first place. Plus — who knows?! — maybe Boyega’s Denzel Washington–inspired “urbanized” Stormtrooper will make a cameo in Episode VIII.

So sorry I forgot to wish everyone Happy Star  Wars Day! May the Fourth be  with you (even 5 days late!)

MTV – It’s pretty hard to avoid the fact that today is May 4, also known as May the 4th be with you, also known as Star Wars Day. You see, today, more than any other day, young Padawan, is a celebration of George Lucas’s extensive universe — and you don’t have to live in a galaxy far, far away to participate in the festivities.

This year, Star Wars newbies Daisy Ridley and John Boyega — Ridley is currently busy filming Star Wars: Episode VIII (NBD) — were hella excited to take part in the fandom celebration. Here’s how precious humans Ridley, Boyega, and the rest of the Star Wars cast celebrated their big day.

FIRST, DAISY RIDLEY JUST COULDN’T CONTAIN HER EXCITEMENT

HAPPY STAR WARS DAY Y’ALL!!! ????????????????????????????????????????????????

THEN SHE REMINDED ALL OF US THAT HER FRIENDSHIP WITH JOHN BOYEGA IS THE STUFF DREAMS ARE MADE OF.

WALL STREET JOURNAL – John Boyega is as big a “Star Wars” geek as many of the moviegoers who pushed J.J. Abrams‘s “The Force Awakens” beyond the $2 billion mark at the global box office. The proof is in the video above.

In the clip, provided exclusively to Speakeasy, Boyega freaks out when he sees the Millennium Falcon for the first time. Not only is it there in proper scale, a dream come true for any fan of the franchise, he will get to work inside the spacecraft, which made its debut in 1977′s original “Star Wars.”

The clip comes from the bonus features for the upcoming home video release of “The Force Awakens,” which will include an in-depth documentary about the making of the movie, a look at how the crew created the droid BB-8, deleted scenes and more.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will be available through video on demand services April 1, and on Blu-ray and DVD on April 5.
